BMW M850xi sneak peak

Got a chance for a quick video of the new BMW M850xi. The elongated lines and the back end is beautiful Let me know what you think its cues are taken from.

Looks good directly from front and back. From side it is too long and those skinny and narrow wheels look stupid.

I also think bmw should have make this car something else than just petrol or diesel powered.

I've never really noticed it before now, but at certain angles from the side it bears far too much resemblance to the current Ford Mustang. That's not saying it isn't attractive, but most folks buying $100k imports don't want them to be confused that its styling is too similar to a four-year-old $30k domestic.

I also don't care for the badging, which is a comment I would apply to the entire BMW line-up and not just this car. The badge-engineered "M packages" available on nearly every upper-end-run-of-the-mill model have served only to cheapen the original M brand. Put an M on it when you build an M8, and only when you build an M8. Mercedes has done the same thing to AMG.

Design cues heavily taken from Hyundai and KIA Motors, with a pinch of Ford Mustang thrown in to "mix it up a bit"....
