Hi all,
About to go to the local shop to find this part. But I don't think it exists.
I was driving and hit a hard turn. One wheel bearing fell out of the driver side rear wheel. Car wouldn't really move after that so I got it towed and took the wheel off. I found, not sure if I'm saying right, the outer cv boot was busted. Not just the rubber but where the axle connects to the side arm. What can I do? I can I just replace that part of the axle or do I have to get a whole one? I only found the rubber boot replacement parts or the inner cv kit but no outer.

I went through this a couple weeks ago. There isn't an outer CV joint repair kit or parts that I could find. Just buy a new half axle.
or see if someone local has a good used spare they can give you for cheap, if a new one is too expensive
No e30s again.
There are boot kits available but I would not try to fix that one. Replace the entire half shaft. Inspect everything carefully I would bet there is more trouble there then it appears.

Thank you all. Will start looking for the half axle if I can, if not the whole one.

Does anyone know why the price varies so much? Is just a quality thing for the axles?
