I have been on the fence on selling it however not including the alpina wheels I am selling the car for $5k.

I will post all the info on the car very soon. This car has approximately $6k in new parts on it.

It has a few remaining issues however it is in really good shape.

The car will come with the original genuine BMW bbs wheels.

I plan on selling the e30 alpina wheels separate.

Well I am surprised for how low I priced the car I only received one phone call and it was a father thinking about buying the car for his kid as a daily driver.

Unfortunately and fortunately I have limited patience and I really like the e21s so I guess I will keep the car and put it in storage. I think when I finish the work on my e39 m5 I will then get back to this car and start looking at swapping out the engine, trans, subframe, brakes and seats. I want to turn the car into a quasi race car.

I am thinking of swapping e46 guts into the car since I know the e46 series very well and they are cheap / easy to find wrecked cars. It will be interesting to see how an m54 fits in the engine bay!

I also decided the alpina wheels need a new home, so they will go up for sale tomorrow and I will be putting other 30 wheels I have on the car.

Please do not ruin clean e21 by swapping anything, it is not a good platform for a race car anyway...

I'd put it in the Roundel and it will sell given time. $5k is a very good price for a clean original car like yours, especially if it is stock (i.e. on the original wheels without mods). There is nothing wrong with auto trans. if you get the right buyer, it just takes time. If you are getting calls from people who want it as a first car it is not the right market for such a car. Depending on the condition, I would consider raising price to attract enthusiast market rather than "cheap car for a teenager to learn on."

Understood. It is good to keep the clean ones original.

I am ok with that as well.

I found a parts donor car for the manual trans attaching parts. I will be swapping out the automatic trans in 2 months. I will revisit selling it then at a higher price.

For now off it goes to storage.

I agree. The auto trans is slow when compared to the 5 speed getrag and I don't think it would do well on BAT until the manual trans was installed into the car.

I have a low 5spd getrag 245 in my parts storage. So.... I will switch it out before trying to sell it again..
