Hi all,
I have an E46 318i (2000). Starting about 2 weeks ago, it does not start sometimes. I put and roll the key in the ignition and nothing happens. The lights on the dash all come on, but it just does not start. Anyways, after quite some time and a number of attempts (once 10 attempts were needed, another time maybe more than 30...) it eventually starts.
Any ideas for the reason? And the main question - I have INPA software, is there a way to use it to diagnose the issue, in a log or something ?
Thanks!
Does it crank at all?
Pull codes from dme and ews module first.

No, no crank at all.
Since symptoms are intermittent, I suspect starter or ignition switch.
Have someone rapp on starter solenoid with wrench/small hammer, while you simultaneously attempt to start.
Post back with result.
