Just bought a 2016 428i Gran Coupe xDrive (F36) and want to add some performance parts. I have looked into injen short ram intakes as well as aFe cold air intakes. What are people's thoughts on those. Also, for exhaust, I have looked a AWE exhaust systems and fi exhaust system.
Any and all thought about what to do first and what product/brand would be helpful.
Hello and welcome to the forum! What are your goals with the car? Both the intake and exhaust will change the way your car sounds but won't add a tremendous amount of performance gains. I would look into a chip or re-flash in addition to the 2 above parts. I've heard that the aFe products are quite solid and well made - other members will likely chime in with their experience as well.

My goal is to increase power and performance of the car. I have heard chips offer a large gain in performance, but with increased power, wouldn't you want more air flow in and out of the engine? Also, do you know anything about these three performance chips?
BMS Stage 1, aFe Scorcher GT, or JB4.
All show large gain from a dyno test, but curious to hear of people's personal experience with them
You're absolutely correct, if you're going the chip route; you'll greatly benefit from having an intake + exhaust. Not familiar with the other 2, but the JB4 is quite a popular tune.
