headlight repair - another dilemma - plastic bucket & bezel connection

I'm making progress toward re-installing the repaired headlights. When I'm done, I'll write up a bit on 'how I did it' that will hopefully help others. Now, what is the best way to clip the plastic bezel that surrounds the headlight lens to the bucket? Four 'World Class' pieces of hardware were used by Fritz to keep these together. I'm concerned about re-using these with 21 year old German plastic which is probably a LOT MORE brittle than it was when Fritz originally installed the clips. A picture of the slots and clips is attached. Any suggestions appreciated. I'm also considering using two plastic wire ties per pair of slots - snugging them up firmly and applying a couple drops of plastic epoxy to keep them from sliding. Any comments on that approach?

Put a thin screwdriver through the clip to manipulate it and get the bend/bow a bit flatter. Then you can gently lever the clip to the housing. It is the same exact clip as the Volvo S70 Hella units (US spec is all glass on the Volvo...)

It literally just snaps on the same way you took it off. It’s not that brittle you don’t even need a screwdriver. Just hook one end in to the bezel side first then press it down with your finger on the other.
