MID repair

Just as any FYI in case anyone needs a recommendation, I just had my CSi's MID repaired by German Audio Tech (https://www.germanaudiotech.com) and was very satisfied with the work done.

I have no affiliation with the company, just a satisfied customer and thought others on here might have an interest one day.

That's true. It was all done via the portal on their site...but to their credit, the work was affordable, appears to have been done correctly the first time and shipping was prompt.

While I did have mine repaired by German Audio Tech, I am not sure why, as it is my most hated item on my 8. It reminds me of an Atari game I had as a child. It is about to hit the parts pile as part of a double din upgrade.

Curious to see your build-I know you know this, but no room where the MID is located to place anything (else) other than a tablet or the Alpine ILX-207...

Totally the opposite for me, Dropped mines off and had lunch in Downtown Long Beach, Picked it up 2 hours later, I had messaged first to arrange for Saturday, Texted me when it was done!

I had mine repaired by them as well. When i got it back, one of the bulbs wasn't working. I sent them a message and he sent me a set of all new bulbs. Popped them in and voila...perfect. I know e-bay is always a gamble, but it was inexpensive.
