    Anyone in the Salt Lake City Area that is good to install a subframe kit?

    Hey guys, its been forever, crazy busy with family, work and too many projects. One of them is getting to doing a randy forbes subframe kit for the coupe. I had plans to do it myself, but I have too much going, and if someone has experience, and I can support their skills with $$$$, then I'm all about it.

    There's a guy in the SF Bay area that's done close to forty (<40) I think, and I'm on Number 102 right now.

    Just so you know, since moving to Florida in 2012, I've done five (FIVE) cars from Washington State (the Coupe I'm currently doing is one of several from SoCal) so I don't want to hear that it's too far business!

    Randy, it's likely going to come to that. Dang, being busy is nice, but man. I'd be honored to have the man himself iron this one out. Thanks Randy.

    (18" Roadstar wheels deal churning inside my head...) You know, I have a pretty nice EB Coupe here that would wear them perfectly

    But seriously, have you seen the level of finish I put on the jobs I do? As well as all these other guys do the installation, none of them show off pictures like I do/did (Daniel & I have exchanged DOZENS of texts today about the mortality of my server__it may be terminal, though he has already saved all the files__just under 67,000 images__from the old one). I hope to have the gallery back online soon, but suffice it to say that I imitate the factory finish/texture under the car when it's done.

    He did a dozen or so while employed at Edge Motor-something (?), then dozens more at Performance Technic, and as of January 1st, struck out on his own__and has already done at least one, maybe a few more!

    Thanks Randy! Edge Motoworks is a great shop, but when i need the subframe kit installed I'll head out to Pleasanton (or get a shipping quote to FL...)

    Randy, I just bit the bullet. Just burning the midnight oil, and thanks for one of my best friends/tuner (flexer here on the forum) and one of my employees, we dove in.

    Thanks for all the great pics on your work Randy. I just couldn't stomach the idea of shipping my car cross country, and having something happen to it.

    The trunkfloor was BAAAAADDDD. Wow. Of course, ive never really seen on damaged up close, but wow. To make the project more fun, Omar had the car fully dynamatted, so its was a mess.

    Maybe the Dynamat was holding it together.

    Keep at it, it'll be worth it!

    Yes Randy. I do need some help.

    I got all the rebuild parts for the differential from pelican ordered. Except on the driver's side, we have lost some of the bolts that hold the CV axel to the ring .

    Randy have you dealt with it, or have you seen upgraded arp bolts for those...pelican parts didn't show them as a part. Feel free to call/text at 8013108170. Thanks!! Ordering parts now over night. Hopefully going to tune on e85 next week and see what this 9180efr can do. I can't believe how well my car drove at 500+ wheel with all this mess back there. I was a step away from full mechanical failure back there.

    Yes, I had no idea. I've had the kit for a long time now. It's been in two shops, and they denied me. They we're to chicken.

    I wish! I found a local shop that's done several installs. $2.5k-ish in labor. I did, however, build my first roll cage last year!

    P.S. How are you guys uploading photos? My last upload was a fluke. I can't add an attachment via computer and anything through igmur says the file is too large. Somehow that one of the trunk wasn't.

    I'm usually good with this stuff, but I'm stumped.

    TC did a lot of custom cutting and welding on my Miata (and the race cars of everyone I know) and we've all been super happy despite the wait times.

    I ordered two sets of the cap bolts, I counted 8 each side on my 2.79 diff (quaife). I ordered two sets but only received one set.

    I'm looking now at all the kits Jon sells, and the all only come with 8 bolts total with his upgraded clutch kits for BMW differentials.

    I have a local guy that was going to rehad everything today, and I thought I had all the parts, but now I'm nervous....
