Apologies if this thread is a repeat. I have searched many times and can’t get the exact information I am after.
I have a 118i 2012 F20 N13
I am a mechanic although of the heavy diesel kind. I have changed the temp sensors was leaking and seems to be a common fault. I now want to drain and replace the coolant. I would like to know if the vacuum filling system is mandatory and also the best way to drain the cooling system. I have just had a very bad experience with a so called prestige car service centre so have zero trust and will do it myself. I do not want to buy the vacuum system for this once only ever use and on the BMW manuals there is a vacuum processs but also a non vacuum process to fill and bleed.
