I am very familiar with hydraulic top systems and I would strongly advise you not to take the shortcut and cut the lines to your top locking actuator. Cutting the lines can introduce small pieces of the hydraulic line into your hydraulic fluid and therefore, into your pump. Those small line fragments can wreak havoc on your pump motor and even clog some tiny channels in the valves. The line splice kits are also not a long term solution. The splice simply does not hold up to the top system pressure over time. I see many convertibles that have used these splices and they fail often, causing you to repeat the job again and do it the right way by replacing the line and running it back to the pump.
