    Id1050

Hello, I just bought some ID1050 like the ones here ..

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/Injector-Dy...sid=m570.l1313

Noticed the connectors are different and don't match my wiring harness connector. Am I missing something?, or just find a way to make it work which would involved cutting the ones off from the wiring harness to replace the connectors with these news one..

There are adapters that can be purchased that click in, and give a an LK2 connector for the OEM harness.

I didn't like that option, so I bought the connectors, and changed out my wiring harness:

I would take apart the wire cover on top of the injectors and cut and solder in new ev6 pigtails. Make sure you have secure clips holding in the injectors. The dimensions on the bottom of them are different than the stock injectors so they do not bottom out in the manifold and can pop out of the fuel rail without the clips holding them in. Rallyroad used to make some aluminum rings to fix this

I have the EMC fuel rail, so I think it should be ok.. Thats what I'll do, just solder in the new connectors... thanks

The issue is on the manifold side, not the fuel rail side. Does your fuel rail have provisions for injector clips? If not then you absolutely must put the spacers on the injectors or you’ll burn the car down. Even with the clips I would still highly recommend the spacers.

All real Injector Dynamics injectors come with connectors and pins in the box. So you can make a harness or convert an existing harness.

The other option is to purchase PnP adapters at an additional cost.

Here is a picture of my injectors, which are 2000cc bosch EV14's, compared to a stock one. Notice the position of the step above the oring which is supposed to bottom out against the intake manifold. If you stick the injector in the manifold the oring will actually go all the way through the boss and into the runner so its no longer sealing anything. On the right you can see the spacer I made to prevent the injector from seating to deeply in the manifold. if you do not have either these spacers or the clips on the top of the injector, the fuel pressure will push the injector out of the rail into the manifold which will cause a huge boost leak and if it goes far enough to unseat the top oring your going to be a bonfire in the middle of the road.

I just looked up a picture of the ID's and noticed the hats do not have provisions for the clips, so you need the spacers. Or marshmallows. Whichever.

Not trying to thread jack, but while we are on the subject, what is the correct height adapter to use on the ev14 2000cc injectors for our application?
