locating TXV on a 525i,2003,e39, for replacement

i have removed plastic air filters and shields to the a/c piping to the firewall under the hood but am unsure where access is to this metering valve . ? where is valve location and access.Thank You for any info...

Are you trying to find the expansion valve? It's attached to the evaporator, in the plenum, behind the dash.
