Hello, I am replacing rims cause run flats and northern Indiana potholes don't play well together. I want to make sure the offset change that I am looking at is safe to avoid rubbing, etc.
OK,
2009 335i convertible sport setup:
Front: 18x8, 34 offset with 225/40r18
Rear: 18x8.5 37 offset with 255/35r18
The rims I found are 18x8.5, 35 offset for all four.
So the rear wheels should be fine as this is only a 2mm change. But, the front gains 6mm inside and out due to the wider wheel so my homework says that's 7mm total inboard. Is that gonna cause me trouble??
Any advise is much appreciated.
18x8.5 ET35 is considered a safe fitment for the E90 as long as you're using appropriate tires (235/40/18 and 255/35/18 are common choices when running square)
