I just got a 2008 bmw 328xi about 4+ times now it has stalled while driving. Took it to auto zone they told me it’s the P0012 code intake camshaft position timing. Then took it to bmw to see what else was wrong they said it’s the vanos solenoids and want $800 to fix. I took both the intake and exhaust solenoid out and cleaned it with engine degreaser after watching a few youtube videos... And Yesterday i just replaced the intake vanos solenoid... it’s still stalling. Has anyone ever had the P0012 code and fixed their problem? It does shake when starting up and the tachometer is always slowing slighty moving up and down when starting up or parked and it tends to stall at low speeds. What could this be???
Didn't like the answer you got to this question last week?
i realized what i posted last week was that i had a code P0014 but i just looked at my paper and it’s actually a code p0012 so i’m not sure if that changes anything.
