So I have a 95 325i
i went out to wiggle the brake light bulb to get the light to come on
went back into my car to start it up and now it won’t start, wasn’t having issue with starting the car before
Also says brake light circuit on OBC
please help
So I found my brake light fuse was blown, changed it and it has started up. Probably need to replace my taillights
All your taillights bulbs are working?
Everything except for brake lights, only the rear windshield light is working right now
One switch on the pedal drives all the bulbs so check the connector for 12v in the trunk, check ground, then check the bulb socket the bulb adapter and the bulb itself. I have seen corrosion on the socket eat a hole in the metal. The center light also fails due to over heating. I was also going to say check the trunk wire loom, but that doesn't seem to be able to cause brake light problems?

If your 3rd brake light it working then it's not a problem with the pedal switch... trunk lid wiring loom can cause random electrical problems but it certainly doesn't point directly to the brake lights.
Really, you need a multimeter (or electrician) to see where you do and don't have power.
