    Radiator air duct repair question

On my 2004 330ci vert I am doing some work on the front bumper. After removal I have some rubber flaps that are part of the radiator air duct that are dried out and falling off. Are these significantly functional to cooling or can I pull them off the rest of the way?
If they are necessary the only repair I see is replacement of the entire air duct. Tried glue and melting to no avail.

    Thanks

    Randy

In extreme conditions you can be sure they will be "significantly functional to cooling",
but under normal conditions you should be fine.
Have you researched replacement part#'s on REALOEM?

I have sourced the air duct part and it looks like an easy change. This is a non track car but it is 110 today in Texas.
I think at one time there were some around the two upper openings behind the kidney grills. Not a great design - butt glued dissimilar plastic parts.
