    Fault code U0100

My daughter has a 2013 X4 i28. Originally I had two faults codes, P0072 and P0073 both of which indicate a problem with the ambient temperature sensor. I replaced the faulty sensor and those faults have cleared, but now I have a fault U0100 that doesn't show up in the shop manual. An online search says that the
U0100 code means Lost Communication With ECM/PCM "A".

Another thread on the forum says a special code reader is needed.

Does anyone know what the U0100 code means and how to remedy it?

    Thanks

Come on readers; now over 200 and counting views, to date and no one know what this means?

I contacted BMW support and their response was contact a dealer; how self-supportive.

Strangely, though no one hand an answer to this question, the car healed itself.
