Hell everyone so I got a 1998 740i pre vanos.....I've replaced maf sensor, cam shaft sensor, crankshaft sensor, air/oil/fuel filters, icv, intake manifold gaskets, valleypan, water accumulator gaskets, transfer pipe o rings, spark plugs, ignition coils, and cleaned fuel injectors....it still needs exhaust manifold gaskets replaced and the rear main seal gaskets but it currently turns on right away, but as soon as I give it any gas BAM sputters and stalls out....but always starts up. Could this be because of exhaust leak and rear main seal? I also pulled to codes but they came in BMW language. Please someone help, this has been a 3 month process, I took it to the dealership and all they told me were bad gaskets and hoses so I did it all myself. Now I'm stuck.
Codes:
1. 6c open circuit continuous power supply
2. CC EWS 3.3 random code storage
Sounds like something to do with injector 6 is bad or not connected or bad connection.

Thanks for the response, so do you think if it's a bad injector, when I change it, it should stop stalling but still be rough because of the leaks? I need it running well enough to get to a shop to repair the rear main seal...I'll go ahead and check the connections today
I dont really think its a bad injector...more like connection issue...but possible...

I would go through the connections. I had my daughter pull every fuse to clean and test. The EWS can do funky stuff and should be reset. Here's what I went through,

Okay so just to make sure, an exhaust man. Gasket leak and rear main seal leak aren't enough to make the engine stall when attempting to accelerate? My connections seem all good but I'm still going to clean them all out to just in case, also my battery has been sitting for a few months so I'm gonna charge that as well.
Not likely, unless you have clogged cats that caused enough back pressure to cause the leak. Did you use all OEM sensors? This car does not respond well to aftermarkets and can very well cause your issue.
Why dont you just probe injector 6 to see if you're getting constant 12v there?
That's what your code is saying

Unplugging the MAF is a quick and easy test, here's another story.

Most likely fault (given the code and the fact that you have removed and replaced the inlet manifold) is that you haven't seated the connector back into injector 6 (second cylinder back on the right-hand side of the engine as you face it).....

Alright so, I tested each injector and they were all good and I made sure to seat the connections in perfect. After doing the test I started it up and let it run for a bit to get any codes, once I scanned it those 2 previous codes were gone but a new code popped up. It seems to be the icv but I have already replaced that with a new Bosch unit earlier this year, could it be a bad part? How can I go about testing it if you know.
Code:
A9 idle speed actuator closed coil
Does your 98 have an idle control valve on mount next to the throttle body? If you do...check that
