ANyone done a ~2006 E61 Front CV Axle job? I've ordered 2 and they are both too short

I ordered both TrakMotive (#BM-8041) and GKN (#31607570275) front axles and both brands seem to be vastly different in lengths, with the GKN having a different inner boot design.

The original part, #31607558951, has been superseded by #31607570275, "Exchangeable retrospectively", so I ordered the parts based off the newer version (#31607570275).

Has anyone here had success installing the newer GKN axle in their pre LCI AWD E60/61? Any thoughts fitment issues?

TrakMotive on top, BMW OE middle (GKN manufacturer), GKN bottom.

That's bizarre. My replacements were exactly the same length as the ones I removed.

Spoke to Max at oembimmerparts.com and he thought it'd be fine, as this is just the new design for the part.

I've just fully installed it, and look what happens when I turn the wheel: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4tcHDcm_-4

I'm pretty sure the boot shouldn't buckle at all, right?

So regardless of the boot issue.
If the axle is so short, how are you able to properly install it?

Well, that's why I said fully, not properly.
