Hi everyone!
I want to create one thread where I post all my updates. So you guys can follow (if interested). I have bought an 325i with a lot of options from stock. It's a highly used car, 288.000km and no licence plate anymore (in Holland you can put it to sleep). If I want it back on the road (do want) than it needs a RDW CHECK. (government car checkup).
I'm new to rear wheel drive on the track. I hit Zandvoort for the first time 1 month ago, in the full rain, and it was amazing. The toyo R888 hold perfectly, I could build up confidence with this car smoothly.
It has a few imperfections... But runs fine! Recently done since owning the vehicle:
- handbrake was fully stuck on the discs so renewed discs handbrake shoes and springs/refurbished adjuster and cables.
- bought a new racing wheel
- bought a new racing chair, not in yet.
- full oil change, and damn, that was really needed....! Filter was dirty, and oil was kind of blackish
- front bumper was not fitting well, fixed.
- rear bumper is loose, so still have to check that out.
- full alignment
To do/fix:
-city lights
- fog lights
- new semi slicks
- painting rollcage white
- paint 2 front wheels white

The general inspection of today:
- found some poly in the arms, yay!
- found lots of oil at the dif.. (less yay)
- found some red springs, old owner claimed original m tech?
- new camber arm bushings

Nice color for a 92.
Do you have an oil pan baffle and the oil pump secured? Those tires will provide enough grip to oil starve the motor without a baffle.
A must for all track cars on <200 treadwear tires imo... https://store.vacmotorsports.com/vac...m52-p2939.aspx
Hello Everyone,
Today I fixed my head lights (Lowbeam & Highbeam) after a lot of troubleshooting. I also created a short movie.
- Checked fuses, all good.
- Checked wiring, (horrible)
- Checked with multimeter and yes, I found 12V in the correct places!
- Then it has to do with the connections, so I took a good look and yes, there i found my 'corrosion' issues.
My Movie:
So! A few updates from my side:
Photos:
1,2: new foam for the cage.
3,4,5,6: fitment of new fog lights in the M3 bumper.
7,8,9: M3 spoiler. Just a test how it will fit. Unfortunately I don't have a 3rd brakelight in it. Spoiler no; 2255 012 kba 37
Coming Saturday is track day!

The trackday was a great day. The car was working fine. Unfortunately the DIF. Spit out lots of oil, that also came at the exhaust and the rear bumper. I assume that this came via a oil seal behind the drive shaft(s).
Will need to take it off I guess.
Overall! Nice day!

Today I bought some updates for the E36!
Eibach street S produced by KW. Lovely collaboration between the two a brands.
-Uniball topmounts
-Camber plates.
At the moment fully taking it apart, and servicing them.
And I bought 17" wheels, because we want to get rid of the 15 inches!

Refurb the coil overs I bought.
Started with sandblasting the springs and ordered a few parts to make the coilovers look and work perfect again!

So, yesterday I've ordered a few new parts for my KW Eibach coilovers. It looks good.
Springs are painted. Rubers are new, rear shocks painted and new adjustment rings.

Yes! We hit the track with the stock setup. Working hard to replace the 15 inch wheels for 17 inch and KW / EIBACH suspension.
Lots of fun at: Zandvoort in Holland

Looks like a blast! Fun car!
Real cool indeed. I'm jealous! I was born, and up till 8 years ago I used to live in the Netherlands, so I know the track.
There even seems to be a track on the little island we live on, but I won't be tracking our only and daily car, alas :-( . (I would expect the newly installed stock brake discs to warp instantly also).
1997 E36 BMW 323i (European) 275k km (171k miles), with following small mods:
- Chip tuned DME (190HP/257Nm); 328i dual pipe exhaust (plug&play); Meyle HD control arms, Bilstein B4 shocks
- Fan delete mod: Stock 92C thermostat, 80/88C temp. switch, 80/20% water/coolant; INPA says temps 100% OK
- Throttle body coolant hose delete mod; Comprehensive ASC Delete option list; Solved: -30 additive adaptation values
I used to live in Amsterdam also (I'm not Dutch though) and went out to Zandvoort a few times for club days, very cool circuit. I hear F1 is entertaining a return there?

Small Sunday project: I took the engine cover and make it look relatively pretty again!

Alright, everyone! The big job has begun.
The E36 has hit the track around 6 days now. We are driving completely stock and 15'' rims. (very light).
As you could have read before, I've purchased a new coiloverset and new 17" wheels (photo's later).
We knew the previous owner didn't do a lot of maintenance, actually; NONE!
We have a lot of rust, the E36 jack points the sideskirt over the rocker panels is been put on with only KIT, so yeah I could look right in and it is looking bad.
The maintenance has started, pulled the side skirt off and that was scary!
It has had an accident on the track with the left rocker panel in the past with the previous owner.. but today we started to find out how bad it was!
We ordered new e36 4 door rocker panels (we could not buy good quality coupe parts anymore in holland).
Here in the coming 3 posts, i'll show you around the car, how bad it is.
While stripping the side skirt off we saw the jackingpoints were gone, but also the rockerpanels!
Have a look at the photos! :
