Brake Sensor - Rear: 06 325i

Replaced rotors and pads and skipped the sensor. Gping back to change the sensor out - is the sensor for rear on the driver or passenger side?

on a global forum where many members drive on the left side of the road that doesnt work.

To answer the question, the brake pad sensors are front left(driver side for most), and rear right.


Left and right on cars is always from the perspective of the driver.

The brake sensor in my replacement kit does not seem to match the sensor actually on the car. This is from the right rear (US, passenger side).

First pic is new sensor on top and the bottom is what is on the car now.

Second pic shows location, behind rotor.

What am I missing?

Those pictures are of a wheel speed sensor, which is completely unrelated to a brake wear sensor.

Sorry to have a laugh at your expense, but you pulled out the wheel speed sensor, not the break pad wear sensor.

And to add to the left/right vs passenger/driver side argument, it is always done from the perspective of the driver facing forward. Left is left, right is right. Now, bank 1 vs bank 2, that's manufacturer specific I believe.
