Replaced my 2 low pressure hoses and reservoir. Is there a torque spec for the bolt that holds the plastic/metal clip over the hoses into the cooling coil? I searched honest...

Also, I used the supplied screw clamps (stamped from Germany) which looked to be stainless steel with an inside metal sleeve so the hose is protected from protruding through the screw clamp holes. Not sure how tight I should torque the clamp down. My old hose showed obvious scrunching from the multiple times i tightened them to stop leaks.
Anyone ever use the clamps where you squeeze the tangs together to release pressure, on power steering hose? I've seen them used on cooling lines before.
Thanks
If there's a torque spec, I don't know it. I've always just done it up hand tight with a 13mm on a ~6-7 inch long 3/8ths ratchet.
The screw-down clamps are nice if you think you'll be in there again, and reusable. I have them on my power steering hoses. As the hose ages, you can cut off about 1" from the ends and reattach to solve some seeping temporarily. I've used both screw down clamps and old hoses. Both worked fine.

Yeah some anal guys will rightfully insist on staying away from any screw type clamps that have the cut-slots for the threads - they'll either insist on t-bolt style clamps, or, the 'stamped thread' kind, so that the clamp doesn't eat into the hoses, which they will, but, you have to decide how much it matters.
On other cars I've had, where clamps are used for forced induction pipes, and need to be really tight, this was a real problem as you had them on/off many times over the years and indeed the 'eating into the hose' was a real thing. For something like this I'm less worried but yes that's just one reason the Oetiker clamps (crimp on German factory style) are considered a high quality solution.

There is no torque value given in the Bentley. But here are the values for 8mm bolts. You will need to get the grade off the bolt head.
lb/ft (nm)
Grade 4.6---4.3 (10)
Grade 9.8---21.1 (29)
Grade 10.9---27 (37).
Thanks for the idea Uturn....Bolt Head was KX2 (made by Kamax) 8.8 which if the Internet is honest give a torque of 18.6 ft-lbs (25.3nm)? My wrench clicked at this setting so I'm at least there, hopefully not too much more that I compromised the o-rings.
As far as it matters....although easy to do I just would hate to have to do this change out again in a couple years. Try as I did to be careful, that ATF winds up in multiple places...blech...
Committed now so I guess I'll see if I tightened the clamps too much.
