    New clutch. Any suggestions

Installing a rebuilt M10 motor in my 1982 320i and would like to install a new clutch as well. Is there any preference in name brand, so many to choose from and from what I have read on this forum it seems that SACHS is the preferred choice. There are some I have never heard of such as LUK, FX stage 1, Platinum Driveline, Rhino Pac. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank's in advance.

Get in touch with Ireland Engineering (socal) and get a Sachs kit from them. Inexpensive and great quality. The kit comes with a T/O bearing as well.

I like Luk for several reasons, main one is they spin and balance the main items in the kit together, could not find this with other mfs, balanced offers more even wear, ect.

came across this question while going through my engine rebuild. I was told to lighten my flywheel that it would make a big difference but I have a stock 1.8 4cyl engine nothing fancy. What do you think legion?

Thank's for the article Randy, I have made my mind up and will opt to stay with the stock flywheel.
