2006 bmw z4 3.0si

Recently bought above bmw. It was not running. Had a new starter put in. It now runs, but my new battery will not hold a charge. Something is draining the batt. I replaced the control module under the glove compartment. I set up a amp. meter between the neg. post and batt. cable and pulled fuses on at a time ,never got a change in amps.
I was told it may be the blower motor resistor, but I hate to keep replacing part and not know the real cause.
The power top and power top lock do not work.
I'm pulling what little hair I have left out. Can any one help??

Plug into BMW computer or code reader (NOT generic OBD2 reader). Read codes. Repair as indicated.

How large is the electrical draw? Was the car asleep when you did the fuse pulling?

If you take the car to a top quality BMW specialist shop which has ISTA (BMW's diagnostic computer), they can check the records of "closed circuit current violations", and tell you how many times these violations have occurred, and which module or component is responsible.

And, um...WHAT control module did you replace? Did you code the new module with ISTA?
