Did I get scammed? M-Tech Optik

So, I recently got the itch to get another e30 after 4 years of not having one. So I began my search and found one that caught my eye. A 1991 J-Spec 320i m-technic optik in Brilliantrot. The car had a sketchy past of being imported in 2011 but never registered and no title, and a big portion of the interior striped. But I took a gamble (Not sure if it was smart or not). The seller told me that the m-tech 2 body kit was a factory option for this car and wasn't added after the fact, but I haven't been able to find any evidence that this car, in this color, with black leather interior ever came with the m-tech body kit.

So can anyone undeniably confirm if this was original or was added to a standard non-m-tech optioned car? ... I tried doing the obvious vin search, but none showed me too many option details.

    Thanks for the help,
    Ben

    Update #1:
Glass seems to have a greenish tint which is suppose to be an indicator, but it doesn't have shadowline trim or door sills. It does have an m style wheel tho.

    No e30s, again :(
the only mtech2 car I ever owned was added at purchase from bmw Germany. mine was a euro car imported to the usa by a service member who brought it back when he got out.
    No e30s again.

I don't know what you mean the VIN search didn't show too many option details; if it doesn't show the correct options, that would answer your question. The name makes it sound like an appearance package car which was a thing.

I guess what I meant was the decoder that I used didn't show any options. But, I just found a another one. I guess the lack of option 770 means that the body kit was added later on in its life. Well... at least I didn't pay too much for the car.

    Thanks

I have a JDM euro M-Technic2 320i. Don't know about yours though from the pics. I have seen a few of these but never a convertible.

An authentic MTechnic would have a front and rear ///M badge and the rear ///M spoiler ... but then the car is 30 years old and could have been modified

... forty-three years of driving before I get behind the wheel of a BMW .... and I am thinking, "why did it take me so long?"
... and then after another 4 years I can't believe that I have two of them !!
