After an eye-watering quote to repair and refinish the original front spoiler of my '87 M6 I thought I'd just buy a new one, but I'm a little uncertain now.
I found a front spoiler from many popular online parts sources, but none of them appear to exactly match my existing piece. Specifically, they all have left and right openings and "coverings" where the original does not. And the foglight bracket mounting design doesn't appear to match, at least in illustrations.
My concern or question is that possibly the design changed slightly at some point and this is the only iteration available now? Or am I just confused?
I definitely don't want to go down the path of replacing all the mounting pieces and foglight hardware. If anyone has some clarification or any sourcing advice I would appreciate it.
I think all of the things you mentioned are features of '88+ cars and the "world" bumper design. Parking lamps were added to the side covers and the foglights changed to a flush-mount with cover pieces next to them.

Thanks, bkats. Seems as though the '87 and earlier just is no longer available.
