Question 2003 530i - mystery trunk RCA cables?

    Hey guys,

I picked up this e39 over the winter. Love it, even if it is a lot of work. Anyway, there's some mystery RCA cables hanging down in the trunk, no clue what they're for. Does anyone know? Photo below.

Nice! Thanks guys. That's a sweet bonus I didn't know I had. Hoping I can just hook up a sub and it's good to go eh?

Well... who knows really!? I mean who knows if PO took out other stuff too that was in the car and required etc... But... imagonnaguess probably yes. Hook up a sub-and-amp that is. Maybe you'll find evidence near the battery of how he ran the power for it, you'll obv need that too. If it were me I'd prob try to grab just any old junker amp and speaker to do a quick test before I got too far into it...

Need to search for the remote wire too, that would be a blue wire.... if they followed proper amp etiquette, that is.
