Found a somewhat cheap set with the switch for $400. Will they fit? If they do, do i need all the wiring in the doors or just the switch? Are they plug n play?

I believe Magnum did a DIY about 12 years ago...and it should be uploaded to www.e38.org ... go there and do a page search and type M-Style into the search box to quickly find the link on the page.

The memory is foggy...but I think Magnum moved on to another marque a while ago. I know he's not active on BimmerBoard (hasn't been for a L O N G time)...but fortunately for e38 owners...a lot of his DIYs survived his departure from the forum (and possibly the marque).
He's a gift that keeps on giving in perpetuity.

FYI - I don’t think those are OE mirrors magnum used. Read carefully.
