Hello guys, I bought my E46 330d wagon recently and it seems that I can't find the right fix/DIY for my aux input. My 2001 bimmer is packed with "Tv" (16:9 navi system) and it would be cool to listen to my own music with an aux cord. Please let me know if a similar thread is already made since I can't find one.
Thank you!
We didn’t get the TV head unit in the US. Something about driving and watching the TV. I doubt that the head unit has the auxiliary port at the back if the head unit. BMW started installing head units with the auxiliary input in model year 2093. Is the dad wired for a cd changer in the rear? It’s be located behind the liners. If it has the cd changer cables there is a multitude of options. The other option is to replace the current head unit with one from model year 2003 or later.
What I mean by saying "Tv" is the regular E46 GPS navigation,we just call it here "Tv" .I checked the back of the head unit, there is no aux port there and I've seen videos that guys do something with cd changer and its wirings. Should I try it?

Yes, the cd changer cables (there are 2) can be used as an interface with your smartphone and the head unit. There are several quality interface devices available. They include GROM, Denison and others. Check the audio sub-forum at E46Fanatics.
