Hi guys,
Has anyone ever found or build an oil pan which is smaller than the stock one? Im talking about the lower part of the pan only.
I trashed mine a few days ago and I thought I might upgrade it, to go even lower in rhe future. Static of course.
I was thinking about taking the old one and just add a plate as replacement with the original sensor. But Im not sure if there is enough oil left in the upper part of the oil pan
Thanks for any help and sorry for any mistakes, my English is not the best I guess
The oil level is way above the gasket on the lower pan.
The oil pump pickup is in the lower pan.
Why would you want a smaller pan?
He wants to slam the car even more.

LOL. realracecar = "how can I make my oil capacity larger!?" ...and then there's this...
OP, if you're hardcore you could try to build some kind of dry-sump system. That's a HUGE expense and complexity and headache for minimal benefit. But that's the racecar way to eliminate the big swimming pool of oil.
$$$$.
For I6, for example, here's some kit parts, but once you get a whole system together you're in the $5-6k USD range.
