    Replacing rear wheel bearing

    Hi all,

Has anyone seen a video or good write up on replacing the rear wheel bearing assembly? I am not anticipating just doing the bearing itself, (pressing out the in and in the new), I'm expecting to buy an "assembly" with the bearing in it. Not sure how tough this is and ...not seeing much on the web or E38.org.

    Thanks in advance,

    Jay

    Looks like a PITA.

I don't think buying an assembly is an option, you have to press the old one out and a new one in. Let me state that changing the one in my former e36 was one of the most difficult bearing replacements I've ever done.

And don’t go cheap. Timken or Fag are good brands.
