    Tool kit for the road

Planning a road trip to the East coast and back. Car has been serviced and in good shape but it is a 98 so.

Has anyone made up a "tool kit" list for the Z3? I know the most important tools will be my phone with the net and the credit cars.

Still want to not need a mechanic for changing a tire, if you get the idea.

Doesn't your car have its took kit? That should cover the basics. What tools to take past that will be determined by how much you want to dig into the issue before you call AAA.

The car's OE tool kit will change a tire. I also carry something like this:

Also a tire plugging kit, and a Conti Comfort kit sealer/inflator.

I carry a small set of tools (socket wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, etc...) and zip ties, a tire plug kit, a pry bar, and the big wrench to take off the centrifugal fan.

When I first got my Z3, anticipating changing belts, I bought a flat fan wrench, not realizing I had no fan for it. For sale for $15 shipped.
