    Bmw 540i/440i important question

I’m going to jump right into some bold questions and I would really appreciate some honest answered from employees and anyone who knows a decent amount about how this works.

I am 19, and I have a good job with no bills and live at home still. My parents are currently getting out of a lease next June and I am going to give them my infinti q50 which has only 24k miles. I want to lease a 540i , or 440i. I currently have credit but I just got a credit card and I’m trying to build my credit up so I can sign for this car myself. I’ve owned 2 cars since I was 17. My Kia Optima was under my name and it helped build my credit, the infinti q50 was under my fathers name. So please if someone knows , do you think I can lease a bmw 540i, or 440i with as little as 4,000-5,000 down without a co signer?

    540o/440i

I don’t know if this is in the wrong section but please someone who knows about this help.

I had two cars. My first car was under my name for one year, I sold that car then bought an infinti q50 which is under my fathers name for cheaper insurance (I’m only 19, and yes I do work mommy and daddy didn’t buy it). I want a 540i , or 440i. Do you think I can lease either of these cars with a good credit rating by myself considering I basically paid off my Kia Optima which was (18,000). I’ve had this car when I was 17, I’m now 19. Next year I will be giving my car to my mom and I will be 20 years old with good credit , I want to lease 540i so bad with about 4-5k down. If there are any question that could make this easier for you guys to give me a good opinion please comment, I don’t know what else to include.

Go down to your nearest and friendly BMW dealership,
explain to them your future plans for a lease.

They will probably pull a credit report,(with your permission of course).
Dependent on your credit score, and employment status,
they should be able to tell you whether you will be approved,
or if not, what steps you can take between now and next year,
to improve your chances of being approved.

Even though you are now an adult,
I would still recommend you take your father along, BOTH now and next year,
as he has prior leasing experience, and hopefully excellent negotiating skills,
as after all, a purchase or lease is still a negotiation on price!

Don't be fooled by those smiling faces, they are wiley salesmen after all.

Another tip:If you can, ask to speak with a Finance manager, or advisor,
thereby bypassing the salesmen, as your technically not there for a purchase,
but more for the opinions of the actual persons handling the lease/financing, Good Luck!

Thanks, you were the only person who took time to answer in depth. I definitely am going to go down there and ask. The only issue is really getting my dad to co-sign on a car not many kids my age should be driving.. do you think a 440i is a good competitor to the red sport infinti?
