So I finally managed to take my e23 project out for its first time on the road in at least 4+ years, it was great. However of the many things that don't work on it, the odometer\trip is one of them. I'm assuming bad gears. Odometer gears however requires you to know how many teeth are on them. I'm being lazy here, but am wondering, do all e23's really have a different number of teeth?? Or are they just covering themselves and there is one that I can just order and be assured it will fit.

Anyone?
Call and talk to em. They probably know what you need if you know about the speedo/cluster in your car.
Let see the company who makes the gears requires you to know how many teeth because they must have made different types for that year well just take it apart and count the teeth, your going to have to take it apart anyway. How hard is that.
Probably has to do with the 140 and 160mph speedos, it does not take long to pop the thing apart.
FWIW, you may as well find an updated SI board while in there...
I make E23 parts.
