Hello from across the pond
Sold my 2002 E39 530i a few weeks back and I've bought this 2006 730D E65 as it's replacement
Fancied another land barge; my first ever BMW was an E38 and it spoiled me and I've been hankering after another big 7 since!
It's in Le Mans Blue; pearl beige interior with quite a good spec inc. soft close doors and boot, integrated Bluetooth, heated seats + memory etc, rear entertainment pack with the DVD changer in the boot (trunk) and huge 20" Style 149 alloys & tyres (in desperate need of a full refurb and new rubber)!
It's had the all important oil sump change and fluid/filter change
My plans are:
Alloys refurbed and new rubber
Full service and check-over of underneath and suspension and any parts to be replaced
Full software update
Remap thereafter
Some pics from it's first in-depth clean by me yesterday

Update:
New tyres ordered today.
Gone with Nexen N'Fera SU1s again (245/40/20s and 275/35/20s); had them on my previous alloys on the E39 before I went to the LM reps and found them to be very good indeed. They'll be x100 better than the lethal rubber that's on them currently Will get them fitted ASAP; even before the alloys are refurbed, they're really needed!
Also booked in with Mark (mashedpotatoes over on the BMW 5 forums here in the UK) on Thursday for a mini service, check over and software update etc. He's the resident diesel guru; so he can work his magic
