Hey everyone,
I've been looking for replacement LED halo bulbs and all I can find is cheap knockoff stuff. Where do you guys buy good quality bulbs?
I bought these. Not cheap but they fit well without modification, and work/look good, and don't generate errors like my 29$ cheap ones did.
Umnitza ICE VXX (N) BMW LED Upgrade Angel Eyes (WL)
SKU: IVXX-LD1060C
Car Model2001-2003 E39 (5-series)Color6000K
Before I put them in, I wrapped the wires with cloth wire tape and used some zip ties to hold the (capacitors, filters,?). In place. I'm looking for some plastic clips to hold them. But this is all minor and mostly my ocd.
TLDR: bought umnitza ice vxx. Plug n play, work great, error-free

Thanks,
They are a little pricey but I imagine they're worth it
I actually installed the Umnitza Ice LED bulbs today in my 2003 E39 today and they work great. They aren't as bright as modern BMWs that use their angel eyes as DRLs but they're MUCH brighter and better looking than the stock yellow bulbs. Yeah they're pricey but if they last then it's worth it IMO.
A previous owner of my car installed "Ziza" angel eye LEDs in 2016 according to the receipts I have, and by the time I got the car a couple months ago they had both failed. Definitely not great for the $100 pricetag.
I bought cheap eBay AE LEDs and modded them to put out 18 watts each. I learned what I needed to know here: https://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/s...ngel-eye-bulbs
If you don't want to DiY, these bulbs should put out the same wattage: https://www.ddmtuning.com/Products/B...lb-E39-20W-XPE
