2002 325ic wont start all the time

The car will start sometimes once in a while if I push the electric top up or down button it will start. New Battery Is there a sensor in the top that would prevent the car from turning over? I do not even get clicking from starter motor (dash lights, electrics all work fine) Sometimes if it sits a few minutes it will start up also Anyone else see this? Next step I guess is to check starter. only 61,000 miles

Google “BMW E46 hidden OBC functions.” Test #9 will show you the voltage as seen by the engine computer. When the engine doesn’t start what’s the voltage as shown in the OBC readout?

looks like it was the key. other key works fine I will buy a new key and have programmed. now were do you buy cheap interior plastic parts. speaker cover on door and left foot rest.
