I have a 2002 325i, that I’m traveling the US with. Just got to Colorado, after driving almost 2,000 miles from the Carolinas and venturing to other places not in the direct route. Just started experiencing issues yesterday. It started to hesistant from a dead stop, but would be completely fine once moving. Now today from a dead stop it will occasionally stall, and I have to restart. It starts easy, and this doesn’t always happen. No check engine lights.
Fuel pump?
Do these symptoms sound common enough, to point me in the right direction of what to look at? Called a ton of shops. Everyone’s booked up for awhile.....
A diagnostic scan with a BMW specific scan tool/software,
can possibly provide a clue to the correct diagnosis.
A diagnosis scan is ideal.
But I would peek my head under the hood and look at the rubber boots leading into the intake manifold. Chances are that they are cracked and torn. In order to cause a stall, they will usually be fairly large tears.
(Do not replace with URO brand parts, as tempting as their price may be.)

SBNC: It would help us to know what type of trans and how many miles you have. If this car is new to you, I'd guess the fuel filter. That's not gonna be an easy fix on the road. You might want to find the nearest dealership.
