M52B30 Turbo Piston Ring Gap Help

Hi All, I'm in the process of starting to rebuild my m52b30 and just wanted to see what the recommended piston ring gap was for a turbo setup? I've got the ally euro block and I'm running stock m54b30 bottom end with oem rings etc. I'll be running a mls type head gasket which I think should see my compression around 9.0:1 maybe!

Running an ebay Gt35 turbo and if possible I'd like to aim for about a bar of boost or around 350whp or more.

Should I just go with the oem ring gap and leave the rings alone or should I be gapping them?

    Any advise would be great.
    Thanks
    Rob

M52B30 Turbo Piston Ring Gap Help

Open the up a few thou.

I have seen pretty large deviation in oem gap across cylinders. Open them all up to 18 thou or so and you’ll have less worries
