been using Jon Martin's mroadster buyers guide to verify production numbers on z3/Z4 M cars, but does such a site exist for non-m Z3s that can provide production info? I got a car in that I believe to be a unicorn, but it would be nice to verify its rarity. Thanks for the help in advance!

No specific info available regarding colors (or so I read on here before), but I made a poll a long time ago that gathered owner info on here. It would give you a relative idea of rarity.

Jon Martin, the guy behind the buyersguide site, wrote software to decode huge blocks of VINs and read the results and turn it into a spreadsheet which can be used to determine production numbers of various color combos
If you want this info on non-M's, you need to have someone decode the non-M VINs in this way. However, given that there are tons more non-Ms than M's, this is likely time and effort prohibitive. Its more effort to do it for non-Ms since there are more cars, yet less people care about those #'s thus why it hasnt been done. Same reason you dont find this depth of information for *most* cars out there in the world
