John Suit, Peter Svendsgaard and myself. All three of us are manic and major enthusiasts. All three of is are friends as well because of this car, which I’m planning to become with the next owner too.
Car has been in California since 2005.

Moisture and salt content accelerate the natural process of decay. Read about dissimilar metals if you have some time to kill.
What "thumbs up" really means
No thanks, I’m already very familiar with the process and causes of corrosion.
The thing is, we live in a small island nation surrounded by some of the fiercest oceans on the planet, but the undersides of our cars do not look like that.
I believe the principle reason for this is that, unlike many northern hemisphere countries, we don’t spread salt on our roads in winter.
Allow me to say "Congrats" to Alec on the success of his BaT auction. Almost $105K after buyer's premium factored in. That was really fun to watch at the end.

No doubt - congrats on a well-deserved outcome! I'm now officially taking offers on mine

CONGRATULATIONS TO BOTH ALEC AND MIKE ON A JOB WELL DONE!! There's nothing like TWO happy E31 enthusiasts to make us all smile! We'll have to round up the two red CSi's, Numbers 1 and 57 here in Atlanta and your number 27, Mike, for a SE SharkFest showing next spring to make 'em all see R-E-D.
Congrats Mike.
You did well on this purchase.
Good bet that there would have been more bidders at the end, had a certain someone not decided to be a douche and troll the comments section, posting ridiculous and devaluing commentary under multiple fake names.

Wow. What a morning. Thank you everyone!! I’m very happy.
Mike. Pleasure speaking with you. I’m super happy the car is going to you and the hyped media we got over it. This is a great, amazing and “good luck-bringer” car... it has helped me help our E31 community as much as I can and enabled so much good to come all our ways, specially myself.
Once we meet in person, I will tell you all the stories. Looking forward to meeting you soon.
Alec.
A big CONGRATS to Mike and Alec. Mike - welcome to the red CSi brotherhood.

Read that one comment below the article Chamberlin posted. It’s an Award Winning Comment. Takes home the Grand prize
That comment unfortunately pretty much sums up the general perception/understanding of what the 850CSi was all about.
I'm constantly amazed at how many armchair commentators - even so-called BMW experts - are completely ignorant of the facts surrounding this car.
They should all be forced to read more, and thus become enlightened.

Hi there, remember a post you did about purple haze in 2012? You said the buyer would have the last laugh. You were right, huh. Alec has been trying to sell her for me. 149 far cry more than the 2012 price of 60k. I like reading your post. I should tell crazy 8 I'm having the last laugh. Lolol. Good job bro!
