I've noticed on a regular basis that when you go to a different thread or different site in a new tab the information you have written is no longer there when you go back to it. The "Auto Saved" function does not work either as it provides some information returned but not all of it. This is very frustrating and also when you leave for awhile it does not show your logged out but wants you to refresh the page when you try to post. One member said he never got my reply, probably because it wasn't sent due to the page needing to be refreshed.

Also, is there some reason why the Moderators do not want to show contact information? I wanted to resolve an issue they had with my multiple threads by providing them with information which would allow them to more easily combine them or ask if I could somehow combine them into one thread. Also if a private message is received and you want to respond, is there no way to attach pictures?

    Hi Jerry,

I often will have multiple tabs open and am able to move from one to another without losing information. What browser, etc are you using? The 'auto-saved' has always confused me as to why it is there. Like, where is it saved? I don't see the purpose of it.

When composing a message more than a few paragrahs, I do so offline in a text editor and paste it into the message box when complete. I lost a message once in the early 90s and never went back to composing online.

Any member can contact any other member, moderators included, by clicking in the members's name in a message/DM and select 'PRIVATE MESSAGE'.

Creating duplicates of the same thread is best avoided initially. Generally, there is a sub-forum where the best advice is available. Once there are several dupes in various sub-forums with replies, it's late to combine it all into a single discussion in a single sub-forum. Merging threads is not a member option.

re: PM and images. The image would need to be hosted elsewhere and linked to the private message using the ... LINK icon in the message editor.

    I hope that helps!

Ironic when I clicked on "Forum Rules" I got a message "you do not have permission to access this page". Hmmm
