Is there a way to manually raise the front windows? Changed out the batteries today and after doing so, the front and rear left windows are inoperative now (front window all the way opened), the right windows work. The central lock system, along with the interior and trunk lights and sunroof are also not working. Checked the appropriate fuses and they are all okay, so I think it is the classic gm module failure.
Took out the door panel and in hoping to crank the window closed, but to my surprise, there is no cranking port like the ones found in most older BMWs. Is there a way to raise the window closed? Any other obvious causes (relays???) besides the gm failure? Thanks!

Check the fuesible links - it's very rare for the GM to completely give up....

I’ve been searching for the left fusible link forever, is there actually one on a 91 850? I’ve dug into the rear of the trunk coverings and have yet located it. The right one is in plain sight and the link has been changed.

Problem found and solved! Turned out while taking the left battery out, I must’ve knocked the ‘33’ fuse out. Since the car’s rear fuse chart (on battery cover panel) was not available, I stupidly assumed and counted the fuse layout from left to right instead of how BMW r>l format. Saved me much hassle with the possible gm repair.
Still the question remains, can the windows be operated manually when there is no power? The manual crank option is not an option for the front window motor like in manually closing the sunroof.

Both fuseible links are on the right-hand battery - and for a fuse chart use:

Applying 12v the appropriate lines on the relay module under the driver's door sill will operate windows.
