Oil pressure warning !! - solved

holy smokes!! my 8 must have Gremlins!!!

the oil pressure warning and dash light is coming on !!

last week the warning came on all of a sudden and stayed on for 2 days steady, drove to Wuffers yesterday and swapped out the sending unit for a used one, the warning and lamp immediately came off and stayed off driving home.

today driving to work was fine but tonight the warning came back!!

car runs fine and oil reservoir is full...

any ideas out there??

check the wiring from/to the sending unit. These wires are very thin and can easily break. Had same experience some years ago, just a broken wire.

i think youre correct because after my posting i went to check the wiring and wiggling the wires flickered the light and eventually went off...

feel like i dodged a big bullet...
