    How to unplug air temp sensor on m60

    Hello to all the E31s
    I am doing one of Tims fix it. My 840 woke up from the winter sleep with a slight miss checked all suspects for vacuum leaks have not found anything yet. So I am going the route of redoing the manifold gaskets but first I wanted to do Tim's quick fix on this issue. The manifold gaskets were replaced at 66,000 along with the valley pan gasket and water pump etc . As of tonight I have nine manifold bolts reseated with extra washer according to Tim's fix. The last one is on passengers side front I need to remove air temp sensor to finish up how is that sensor clip removed.

    The temperature sensor can stay where it is, but the connector is simply removed by squashing the wire clip towards the connector and then pulling the connector off. They are usually quite stiff as it probably hasn't been moved for 20 years - also, check all the rubber bungs:

    Will do and yes with 23 year old plastic/ rubber best be careful. I was also thinking If car still not running right I was thinking of getting the fuel injectors cleaned my indy offers that service.
