Hi eveyone I am fairly new & wanted some help or opinions on this. I currently own a BMW X3 E83 3.0 M54 Auto that is currently running shrick 264/248 camshafts with an afe air intake. Currently would like supercharge my car as I would like more power and more torque down low. I saw ESS tuning makes a kit & was thinking about going with them as vf engineering don’t support a kit for my car. My question is has anyone done this before or would support I do this? I have seen countless supercharged 330s and 530s running with no problems with the ESS TS1 kit , I would assume that it’ll be the same as the engine is the same M54 engine. Would I have to do any prep or modifications to the engine or chassis before I bolt the kit on? Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated.
Hello and welcome to the forum! You'll likely have to run bigger injectors and do some sort of tune to make sure everything runs together without issues. Not sure what kind of brakes you have, but I'd look into a set to match the power that you'll be making. Other members will likely chime in with their expertise as well. Good luck and post some photos of the finished product!
