    Center Console Automatic Shifter Plate

My plastic shifter plate is gone and NLA available. #19 in the Real OEM Shot

My thought is to buy the rest of the pieces which appear to be available, have my 84 YO dad (Machinist) fabricate me a plate out of aluminum and make it work.

Does anyone have a picture of the back of the center shifter plate?

These things disintegrate, so fabricating replacements would be awesome! I just sold one is really good condition, but they are very hard to find.

Here are a couple of photos:

    I hope they help.

On mine, the shift indicator mechanism broke after about 10 removal/install procedures. Looking forward to see your progress rjjablo.

I repaired those tabs with metal brackets and Quiksteel epoxy. It's lasted pretty well but I would love to replace them with a quality new part. Subscribed!

I melted/fused the old parts to together and also added some new ABS plastic which was reinforced with metal wire. Use a large washer under the screw to spread the clamping force.

Looked at a bunch of the old Threads. What would really work the best is Shogun's LED Strip but he has sold out of them. I think I might just put an E32 Gear Indicator on the left and call It good

I missunderstod you, so ok your old man makes you a metal panel with the holes. There are wires from the gear box that can provide you with a 4-bit digital code for the gears used, an ic-circuit is available. CMOS type bcd decoder will cost you a few $. You probably also will need a driver to drive the LEDs all placed on a pcb board.

That looks nice. The gearbox program switch could possibly be fitted in the space where all other switches are placed. The only reason for it to be placed where it is OEM is to enable access for adjustments of the colored slide used in the mechanical mechanism so the red marker is in its proper place. But this you don't need if you are going to use LED's instead. Decide on where you want the PRND321 strip to be and then ask your old man to drill holes for the LED's which can be round or rectangular. The LED's should preferably be rectangular and have the same size as the window under the letters/numbers in your plastic strip. The plastic strip could preferably be counter sunk in the metal.

Nice, but mr Pushes doesn't sell the mechanics and what else is missing. You have to provide it your self.
