    2014 BMW 535D

Hi, I am a new member in SoCal. I purchased a former lease 2014 535d and it's quite an upgrade from my 2014 VW Passat that VW bought back after Dieselgate. I do have a concern as they had to replace the fuel injectors on cylinder 3 and 6 this week after my check engine light turned on, luckily it's all under warranty. At only 38K miles that was not something I expected to happen.
Some of my research shows it would be smart to buy an extended warranty as repairs are pricey and the factory warranty expires in 45 days so I hope to get some feedback on that option.

Hello and welcome to the forum! If you're able to purchase an extended warranty, I would definitely suggest it for the exact reasons that you brought up. Replacing injectors that early is a bit surprising, but BMWs are quite fickle as you'll learn. Please let us know if you have any other questions or if we can assist with any future part needs.

    2014 535d M package
I bought a 2014 535d about 2 weeks ago. I did purchase an extended warranty to 125,000 miles. I do love the car. It's an M package and it looks and drives like a dream. It's the nicest car I've ever owned.

It did spend a week in the shop troubleshooting a door lock problem. If the door doesn't unlock with the fob or interior unlock button, the door won't open. They finally replaced the actuator which seemed to fix the problem. Their cost for the actuator was $480.

I hope you work through these issues as it's a great car.

    Good luck,

    Darren
