So i just learned about this feature the hard way and need some guidance digging my way out.
working on the lift gate and turned key to right(and held there), all the windows went up and the car locked.
Wow cool feature i thought until.......
appears i have entered the deabolt/double lock mode.
Background
1995 525it
driver and passenger doors were swapped, and do not have keys.
cannot unlock from inside (or outside - no door keys)
All doors locked (except lift gate - have that key)
Passenger door is open, we were working a handle/lock swap that didn't work. when this happened...
Have a key fob, but no luck using that to unlock
Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance..
I wonder if jumping the inertia switch will unlock all the doors.

I’m having same problem. But my door lock in the passenger door is stuck and the passenger door is stuck in double lock mode. So I can’t even get my door open.
