So I decided to clean up the engine bay this morning. I discovered this rubber boots has a split in it and this vacuum line curled up and zip tied together. The vacuum line at one end goes into the fire wall and the other end is disconnected and I have know idea where it's suppose to go. Also what is the rubber boot for? I'll look for a new one to replace it.

I'll let you ponder why the car would have a now-disconnected boost gauge hose.

I have no idea what the PO did with the car. But makes me think raced it.. Thanks for the info on the Ventilation hose. I guess I'll just cap off that hose..

Poking a hole and running wiring through that DME cooling duct is a convenient and common (if not correct) way of installing data loggers, boost controllers, etc. Between that and the plumbing remains, I feel confident to say that car was boosted at one time. That does not speak for how it was used, however.

Thanks for that info Randy. It's amazing after almost 4 yrs. of ownership I'm still learning new things about this car.
